To describe a person's appearance we can use:
look + adjective (including age) - He looks sad/about 15 or 16 years old/bored.
look like + noun - He looks like his father/He looks like a bodyguard.
Compare:
He looks like a boxer/ He looks tired = what I think.
He is a boxer/He is tired = fact.
He's the spitting image (of someone)= He's identical to someone

When we say something negative about a person or thing, we often prefer not very+ a positive adjective. It sounds less critical.
We don't say She's stupid . We say She's not very clever.
How can you describe these people?
He's short.
She's mean.
This exercise is difficult.
He's ugly.

They are unfriendly.
